Coolant is a liquid used to cool, lubricate tools and workpieces during metal processing. It can also be said to be an indispensable part of the production process. For the factory, ensuring the best use of the coolant and prolong its service life is not only improving processing efficiency but also can save production costs!

- Choose the right coolant
Select the appropriate coolant according to the processing requirements, processing methods, materials of the tool/workpiece and the characteristics of the equipment. - Ensure that the coolant circuit is unblocked
Prevent miscellaneous oils, sundries, especially food or cloth, from being mixed into the coolant system, and regularly remove the cutting chips, the decomposition products of the coolant itself, and grinding wheel chips to avoid clogging. - Cleaning of coolant
The materials that pollute the coolant are mainly metal powders, fine gravel powder, floating oil, and propagation materials. Purifiers or filtration can be used to control the growth of bacteria in the coolant. - Adjust the concentration
Check the concentration of the coolant daily and adjust it immediately. The proper concentration can ensure the stability of the coolant. The base concentration can be appropriately increased by 1%-2% to reduce the impact of concentration fluctuations on machining quality and tool life. Effectively prolong the service life of coolant. Secondly, the PH value of #coolant must be monitored. The best range is between PH8.8-9.5, and special attention should be paid to those lower or higher than the standard value.
